Marie was the perfect officiant for our same-sex wedding. We chose the “short and sweet” ceremony and she blew us away with her thoughtfulness both before the ceremony (walking us through what to expect) and during the ceremony (making us feel comfortable and supported). Marie offered things like a land acknowledgment and a reminder to turn off cell phones (things we hadn’t thought of) to ensure our ceremony was respectful and free from interruptions. Her commentary on what marriage is, the good and bad, etc., was wise, humorous and relatable. We were so happy we chose Marie and got many compliments about her work from our guests.
