Minister Marie of Let's Get Married by Marie, a San Francisco wedding officiant, leads a wedding ceremony for a bride and groom surrounded by pink florals at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum

The Bay Area has always had a special place in my heart for personal reasons, which is why I love being a San Francisco wedding officiant so much. The place that gave me so much love and comfort growing up is now a place I get to craft ceremonies for awesome people in love!

From the Asian Art Museum (pictured above) to hidden speakeasies, the Palace of Fine Arts to the rooftops of The Pearl, I’m here to craft a ceremony that is a celebration worthy of your love.

San Francisco Wedding Officiant Package

With well over 1,200 marriage ceremonies under my belt, I’ve intentionally designed my wedding package to be simple and inclusive of what people really want – flexibility and clear expectations of what’s include. Consequently, my signature Let’s Get Married service is designed to always include a custom ceremony and all that’s required to craft it, along with all my travel automatically included in the listed price.

Let's Get Married

San Francisco Wedding Officiant Package
$ 2,499
  • A fun, meaningful ceremony to celebrate your particular brand of awesomeness custom-written and performed by an award-winning officiant (that's me!)
  • All the support and communication (meetings, calls, texts, Zoom calls) to sort out all the details for your day
  • Guidance on the marriage license and certificate
  • All of my travel/mileage is already included

Once you secure your venue, you should secure your day with me. Seriously.

Before the pandemic, I was booking up to 18 months out. Now, I’m booking up to 2 years out and I already have bookings out that far. I started 2023 already 40% booked for the year and 10% booked for 2024. I’m already getting inquiries for 2025!

Consequently, the best time to book my services is as soon as you have confirmed your wedding date with the venue.

The second-best time is now!

There are only three situations in which I attend wedding rehearsals.

First, if you don’t have a professional (like a wedding planner or venue coordinator) to run it for you. In this case, I will run the entire rehearsal for you! Please check with your venue to see if they provide a coordinator as part of their package.

Second, your ceremony is complex. We have an abbreviated tea ceremony as well as the lasso, aras, and veil, not to mention your two readers and a grandparents’ blessing… This is obviously a more extreme version, but you get the idea! A complex ceremony means I need to be at the rehearsal to help you sort out everything, That way everyone involved feels comfortable with what is supposed to happen on wedding day.

And finally, it is really just going to make you feel better that I’m there. Yes, it can be that simple!

Please note that a rehearsal is a $175 USD add-on to cover my time and travel.

Only one!

In my early days, I used to schedule multiple weddings in a day (that’s how many officiants can be so cheap — “insert name here” ceremonies they already have memorized and performing several ceremonies in a day), but it was super stressful . And I don’t want that for you or for me!

That’s why I now only do one wedding a day. This way, you have my full and undivided attention, as well as my flexibility in case something doesn’t go as planned. No stress and all smiles!

No. I assume that you two are grown adults and can decide for yourselves what you want to do with your lives. Crazy of me, right?

I do offer a Premarital Course if you’re interested in having your arguments bring you closer together instead of driving you crazy, but it is in no way required!

Since I only do custom ceremonies, the answer is “it depends”. I’ve done ceremonies as short as 8 minutes and as long as an hour. I’d say my Bay Area weddings average somewhere between 15-25 minutes.

Ultimately, the length of the ceremony is up to you! We’ll talk about what you want and don’t want in your wedding and we’ll collaborate to make it unforgettable.

Usually, just twice. The first time is for a consultation, which you can schedule HERE. The second time is for our ceremony planning session, which happens 2-3 months before your wedding.

Please know that I don’t limit our meetings, but in the over 1,200 marriage ceremonies I’ve done, we’ve only had to meet more than usual only twice.

I require 50% of the total price as your reservation fee. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding.

All of my contracts and payments are done online, so if you want to pay $75 each month leading up to your wedding until it’s paid off, you can do that. Or if you want to pay off your balance 6 months ahead of time at 1 AM because you’re on a roll paying off everything, you can do that too.

I will guide you through the process of how to obtain your marriage license whether you’re a Bay Area local, coming in front out of state, or even out of the country. I always sign your marriage license after the ceremony (to do it before is legally fraud) and file it as required by law. I’ll also reach out when it’s time to get your Marriage Certificate and send you helpful tips on how to change your name, should anyone be electing to do that.

Sí, hablo español! Pero aunque mi mamá es de México, realmente no lo aprendí hasta que fui adulto. Y es mi tercer idioma! Por eso solo hago ceremonias en spanglish, no solo en español.
