Marie, we can't thank you enough for helping make our dream come true. Having you taking care of our (Pedro & Gabriela) elopement cerimony in Joshua Tree made us feel safe, confident and connected to each other, to the place and, of course, to you! All the steps of the process were taken care of in such an outstanding fashion, from the initial online meetings, to planning the cerimony and vows, working with the clerk and required documents, leading to the perfect elopement day.

When we started planning our wedding we knew we wanted a personalized ceremony that was inclusive, respected our personal beliefs and most importantly something that felt like us. Marie delivered that and so much more. She took the time to get to know us as a couple but also as individuals over a couple zoom calls. She sent us each a questionnaire to get to know us and our story. She then used our responses to create a heartfelt and humorously nerdy ceremony that matched our personalities perfectly. She gave us samples and suggestions on writing our own vows. Marie has such a warm and inviting personality, when we finally met her in-person on the wedding day it felt like meeting up with an old friend. I would recommend Marie to anyone who wants a wedding ceremony that’s off the beaten path, or even just different from what a standard wedding ceremony offers. Her website says “anti-boring weddings” and she truly means it.
Marie is the sweetest, most professional, and most FUN wedding officiant I could have imagined! We had no idea what we were doing, but she walked us through it step by step. She was funny and weaved everything together beautifully, and we got a ton of compliments on the ceremony after it was over. Highly recommend Marie!!!!

Marie was absolutely incredible, a true professional! She got to know us over video chat and through an insightful questionnaire. We didn’t know how it was all going to tie in but she blew us away during our ceremony. Her speech was extremely emotional and personal. Our guests thought she had known us for years and were impressed with her delivery. She chronicled our love story from the beginning, highlighting key moments and capturing our essence. Marie has such a beautiful way with words! We hired Marie to create a custom ceremony for us and she completely blew us away. We met with Marie a couple times during the planning process to tell her a little bit more about us and what we wanted out of our ceremony. We also each filled out a thoughtful questionnaire she provided to tell her more about what we love about each other. Using all of this information Marie put together a ceremony that had everything we wanted! Some religious and cultural elements, but the majority of the ceremony was really about us and our love story. Our friends and family kept telling us how perfect the ceremony felt and how "us" it was. Throughout the entire planning process Marie was organized, proactive, and professional. I definitely recommend Marie, she will get to know you and put together something even better than you could have imagined.

Marie was an absolute delight to work with! We could not have asked for a better Officiant. Her cheerful disposition and enthusiastic yet calm demeanor are what sold it for us. She seemed genuine and it didn't feel like she was just trying to sell us a product. You can tell that she truly loves what she does and believes in the sanctity of marriage. Marie was an absolute dream to work with! She made sure we were both completely comfortable every step of the way. She constantly made sure to answer any questions if we had any and lifted us up on our wedding day in a way we could have never imagined. Her words - unique to each couple - are more beautiful than the fresh roses alongside us. If you are looking for someone to make your day completely about you as a couple, your story, and your personalities separately and as a couple, then she is the one for you. Marie was the perfect officiant for our same-sex wedding. We chose the “short and sweet” ceremony and she blew us away with her thoughtfulness both before the ceremony (walking us through what to expect) and during the ceremony (making us feel comfortable and supported). Marie offered things like a land acknowledgment and a reminder to turn off cell phones (things we hadn’t thought of) to ensure our ceremony was respectful and free from interruptions. Her commentary on what marriage is, the good and bad, etc., was wise, humorous and relatable. We were so happy we chose Marie and got many compliments about her work from our guests.
